We are not a well-traveled people, are we?

While I love and endorse travel as a fulfilling life experience, I also have an aversion to this strange American inferiority complex we get about things like “having a passport”

Quite. I’m from one of the “More than 20%” states and I’ve criss-crossed the United States. As much as I’d like to travel to Greece, Japan or New Zealand I can’t afford it. My grandparents have been to the lower 48 all by car, and Alaska on a Cruise.
